Hungary's "Material Deprivation" Index

A material deprivation index measures 9 criteria like a person's ability to take a brief vacation, whether they are able to eat meat every other day, whether they own a washing machine, car, or TV.  The higher the number, the higher the amount of material deprivation in the country.

In the EU, only Romania and Bulgaria have higher MDI results than Hungary.
